Globe Skateboards was founded in 1994 in Melbourne by brothers Pete and Stephan Hill. The Short Cut Flying Foxes is part of the Natural Attractions range and features flying fox artwork of a creature you might encounter on a walk off the beaten path. The Short Cut is a modern cruiser based on the standard Globe deck shape, but with a short-cut nose for a compact, agile size that works broadly for daily use in the city. The board
The Globe Short Cut Flying Foxes is 8.75" wide, 28" long, with a 14" wheelbase. The deck is made of rosewood and Resin-7 hard rock maple, which makes the board lighter, stronger, and more durable than standard water-based decks. Mellow concave with a full kicktail and a just-barely-there nose, clear broadcast griptape, and a built-in bottle opener.
The 5.25" Tensor alloy trucks are made of premium aluminum and magnesium with Grade-8 kingpins and high-rebound urethane bushings, with a lifetime guarantee. The 60mm 80a Bruiser Cruiser wheels are stoneground for traction from the very first push, ideal for cruising and carving on any surface. Globe ABEC-7 bearings.
Short Cut shape
The Short Cut is a modern cruiser based on the standard Globe deck shape with the nose cut short. This provides a more compact board than a standard cruiser while retaining the full kicktail and familiar ride character. The result is an agile, compact cruiser that works just as well for short rides in the city as it does for learning tricks.
